Helping Indigenous students achieve.

AIME (Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience) is a dynamic educational program that is proven to support Indigenous students through high school and into university, employment or further education at the same rate as the general population.

77 per cent of AIME students attend schools that are classified below average by the Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA). AIME is giving these Indigenous students the skills, opportunities, belief and confidence to grow and succeed.

“For every step you take forward in life, throw your hand back and bring someone with you.” AIME

In 2013, the Year 9 to university progression rate for AIME students was 20.4 percent – five times the national Indigenous average of 4.1 percent and moving toward the national non-Indigenous average of 37.4 percent.

An independent economic evaluation conducted by KPMG found AIME contributed $38 million to the Australian economy in 2012. For each $1 spent on the AIME program, $7 in benefits was generated.

We are partnering with AIME to extend the reach of their program to more universities and further develop their online capability.
